| With our setting near Lake Palestine and Lake Jacksonville, "R" Place RV Park and Campground is perfectly positioned to offer incredible fishing, boating, and other activities for you and your family. Beautiful Lake Palestine offers 25,000-acres of coves and bays with fabulous fishing for largemouth bass, white & hybrid striped bass, crappie, catfish, and sunfish. There are five public boat launches on the lake, making it easy to get your craft into the water. Head to the lake for a day of swimming, water-skiing, sailing, wind surfing, or enjoying a picnic lunch along the lakeshore. |

Right in camp at "R" Place RV Park and Campground, you can enjoy a game of volleyball, horseshoes, or watching the kids at the playground. We have a fabulous movie rental store and an on-site book swap. With our in-camp fishing pond, you can even enjoy catch-and-release fishing right from our own pier! And with our mild weather, you'll want to plan fun day trips any time of year for golfing at one of our local courses, river rafting, hiking, or hunting. |
| Our area hosts a number of exciting fairs and festivals each year, from the Dogwood Festival and Parade to the Annual Azalea and Spring Flower Trail, both held in March. If you're with us during Memorial Day weekend, you can take in the Annual Fair on the Square in Rusk. Museums buffs will enjoy exploring the exhibits at the Museum for East Texas Culture, the Howard House Museum, and the Tyler Museum of Art. And during the school year, you'll find campus tours and fun sporting events at nearby UT Palestine, UT Tyler, and Jacksonville College. |
